Tramadol HCl

Indications/Uses

Moderate to severe acute or chronic pain.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Adult & adolescent >14 yr 100 mg by IM, slow IV, IV infusion or SC. Max: 400 mg daily.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity. Acute alcohol intoxication. Patients receiving MAOIs. Concomitant use w/ alcohol, hypnotics, analgesics or CNS-acting drugs.

Special Precautions

Patients w/ increased reactivity to opioids; suffering from convulsions. May affect ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation.

Use In Pregnancy & Lactation

Adverse Reactions

Sweating, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, fatigue, palpitations, postural hypotension or CV collapse.
